Most people would share on their blogs saying that everything is fine, everyone cooperate, there is good teamwork and so on. Well, I don't think that is exactly the truth that is happening in my group some of the time. At the start of this Romeo and Juliet play, I was kind of excited for it as I thought it would be lots of fun. It is fun when everyone cooperates with each other. However, not everyone I'm my group does that. Some people are always texting, gossiping and slacking one corner while the rest of us, unfortunately, have to do all the work. In the end, those who have done nothing but only do the acting gets all the credits. I truly think that is really unfair to those who did most of the work. When we talk to them or tell them to do work they will dislike it or not do it properly nor seriously. I think that is normal in all groups but it is just unfair.
That's the problem. The good thing is that we are done with the costumes and most of the props. We have many meetings for practicing of acting and all. The acting, I must say that everyone did improve on that since the first time we practiced together. Just maybe a little more improvement to make it better. Most of us in my group, including myself, have stage fright, so we together have to try to overcome that. We have planned the movements on stage and props, but we kind of have to work on it a little. Same goes with the background music which we have to think of better ways so that Cheryl don't have to learn 4 new songs.
In this Romeo and Juliet, I learn that teamwork, cooperation, sacrifices and communication really is important. Without these, everything will not go on smoothly. There will always be problems, but we have to work on it together. I hope that our hard work will pay off and that everything will go right on the actual day. This is important to us as it takes up 70% of our literature end of year examination.
