Macbeth is a play about a guy meeting three witches who told him that he was going to be the king. He was shocked and told his wife about it. His wife was greedy and influenced Maceth to kill King Duncan so that he can be king quicker. Macbeth went to kill King Duncan and he then became the king. People found out the truth that Macbeth killed King Duncan thus many wanted and tried to kill him. Macbeth's wife committed suicide. The three witches then met Macbeth again. They told him that a guy who was not of "women born" will kill him . The guy who was not of "women born", Macduff, who was “untimely ripped” from his mother’s womb, killed Macbeth. The theme of Macbeth is about greed, honour, power and revenge.
My favourite character is King Duncan. He is very kind as he always praises others like how he praised the Captain, "So well thy words become thee as thy word; They smack of honor both" and Macbeth "Worthy gentleman!". He is caring to as he wanted to know about the war and the conditions of the soldiers like when he asked if Banquo and Macbeth were frighten.
From the story of Macbeth, I learned how ambition and greed can overpower morality and human nature. It teaches me not to be greedy and be happy with what you have and let nature take place by itself slowly and not force it to happen quick. That shows that we have to be patient too.
